Travel grants are available to bring 15 journalists to the 5th Heidelberg Laureate Forum, which gathers award-winning mathematicians and computer scientists to meet a selected group of 200 young researchers. Travel fellowships are available for the WCSJ meeting in San Francisco this October. The grants will provide full or partial support to cover economy airfare, accommodation for the duration of the conference, and reasonable ground transport up to a maximum amount. ISWA’s former webmaster, North American science writer Larry Krumenaker is the 2015 “Journalist in Residence” at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS). The program offers science journalists a stay of up to 6 months at the institute which has a focus on data-driven research in areas ranging from astrophysics to cell biology.
